MnaPlayer+ Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026 (rev. 3) · Applies to the MnaPlayer+ app (Android package mna.playerplus) and its Windows version.

Summary

Data stored on your device

To play your local files the app reads audio and video files that Android's media store or your chosen folders expose, and stores an index (titles, artists, durations, artwork cache), your playlists and collections, resume positions, listening statistics and recent searches in its private app storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share something (for example a collection link or a share card) with an app you choose. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

Online features (optional)

When you enable online search, the text you search for — and nothing that identifies you — is sent directly from your device to the services you have enabled:

These services receive your IP address and the request, as with any internet connection, and handle it under their own privacy policies. You can turn each source, or all online features, off at any time in Settings → Online.

Licence information and copyright notices

On sources such as the Internet Archive, licence information is provided by the uploader; MnaPlayer+ does not guarantee its accuracy. Such items are marked "Uploader's claim · not verified" in the app and are stream-only; downloads are offered only from sources with verified licences (Jamendo, Live Music Archive, LibriVox, podcasts).

If you are a rights holder and want an item not to be shown in the app, write to mnaplayer.destek@gmail.com; it will be added to the blocklist. When online features are on, the app refreshes this short list at most once a day from our own static site (HTTPS); no personal data is sent.

Downloads

Downloads are offered only for content whose licence allows it (public domain, Creative Commons, podcasts). Files are saved to your device's Music folder together with their licence and attribution.

Voice search

The microphone button opens Android's own speech-recognition service. MnaPlayer+ does not request the microphone permission and does not record audio; it only receives the recognised text. Depending on your device settings, the speech service may process audio on the device or on Google's servers under Google's policies.

Permissions

Children

MnaPlayer+ is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
